Overweegt u zich\u00a0uit te schrijven bij de katholieke kerk<\/strong> in Nederland? Uitschrijven kan tegenwoordig heel eenvoudig door het sturen van een brief aan de parochie in uw desbetreffende woonplaats. Ook dit begint met een opzegbrief, maar wordt opgevolgd door een uitnodiging voor een persoonlijk gesprek met de pastoor.<\/p>\n

‘Ontdoping’ of uitschrijven bij de katholieke kerk<\/h3>\n

Wellicht bent u als baby door uw ouders gedoopt – om de traditie voort te zetten – of hebt u zelf op latere leeftijd gekozen voor de katholieke kerk. Echter hebt u ondertussen zo uw bedenkingen over het geloof en staat u niet langer achter bepaalde overtuigingen van de kerk. U hebt daarom besloten uw banden te breken met de kerk, afstand te doen van het geloof<\/strong> en u te laten ‘ontdopen’ \u2013 uitschrijven uit het doopregister<\/strong>. U vraagt zich wellicht af wat het verschil is tussen uitschrijven bij de katholieke kerk en ontdopen en wat de gevolgen van ontdoping<\/strong> zijn. Hoe gaat het ontdopen en uitschrijven in zijn werk, wat dient er in uw opzegbrief te staan en aan wie dient u deze te richten? In dit artikel vindt u alle informatie die u nodig hebt.<\/p>\n

Het verschil tussen ontdopen en uitschrijven bij de kerk<\/h4>\n

Wanneer u zich uitschrijft bij de katholieke kerk<\/strong>, worden uw gegevens uit het kerkbestand geschrapt en wordt uw uitschrijving doorgegeven aan de overkoepelende organisatie SILA. In het geval van verhuizing zult u niet langer benaderd worden door de kerk.<\/p>\n

Laat u zich ontdopen<\/strong>, dan breekt u definitief uw banden met de katholieke kerk. In dit geval zult u geen bestuursfuncties meer mogen bekleden, niet meer te communie kunnen gaan, peetoom of peettante worden en alleen in uitzonderlijke gevallen zult u een kerkelijke uitvaart krijgen.<\/p>\n

Hoe werkt uitschrijven bij de kerk en ontdoping?<\/h4>\n

Sinds februari 2013 is de uitschrijfprocedure bij de Nederlandse kerk vergemakkelijkt. Dit betekent dat u enkel een opzegbrief hoeft te richten aan de parochie in uw woonplaats. Vervolgens wordt uw uitschrijving doorgegeven aan de overkoepelende organisatie SILA. In geval van verhuizen zult u niet langer benaderd worden door de kerk.<\/p>\n

Ook ontdoping \u2013 uitschrijven uit doopregister – begint bij een opzegbrief. Echter dient u wel in uw opzegbrief aan te geven wat uw beweegredenen zijn tot ontdoping over te gaan. Ook moet u de naam van de parochie en de plaatsnaam opgeven van waar u destijds gedoopt bent. Na ontvangst van de brief volgt een uitnodiging van de pastoor voor een persoonlijk gesprek. In dit gesprek zullen uw beweegredenen besproken worden en worden vastgesteld of u zich inderdaad definitief wilt uitschrijven. Indien u niet binnen twee weken reageert op deze persoonlijke uitnodiging, dan zal uw uitschrijving alsnog worden verwerkt en wordt uw uitschrijving uit het doopregister definitief.<\/p>\n

Wat dient er in mijn opzegbrief te staan?<\/h4>\n

Om u uit te schrijven bij de kerk dient u de volgende gegevens te vermelden:
\n– Naam en voornaam
\n– Geboorteplaats
\n– Geboortedatum
\n– Plaats waar u destijds gedoopt bent
\n– Oorspronkelijke woonplaats<\/p>\n

In de brief om tot uitschrijving uit het doopregister over te gaan, dient u de volgende informatie te vermelden:
\n– Naam en voornaam
\n– Geboorteplaats
\n– Geboortedatum
\n– Plaats en naam parochie waar u destijds gedoopt bent
\n– Beweegredenen om tot ontdopen over te gaan
\n– Oorspronkelijke woonplaats<\/p>\n
